Supreme Court Won’t Review Camera Patent Dispute Against Apple

The US Supreme Court refused to hear a patent-assertion firm’s bids to prevent an administrative tribunal from invalidating expired camera patents in a dispute with multiple electronics giants, including Apple Inc.

The high court Monday rejected two Gesture Technology Partners LLC petitions for certiorari.

Gesture filed the petitions in June challenging the Federal Circuit’s rulings affirming the Patent Trial and Appeal Board’s invalidation of US Patent Nos. 7,933,431 and 8,878,949.
