SunPower Says California Solar Company Infringed Trademarks (1)

SunPower Corp., a top solar energy company, alleges Sunpower California, a solar panel sales and consulting business, deliberately used its trademarks in online advertising, even linking to its website, to trick consumers into thinking the companies were associated, according to a new lawsuit filed in a federal court in San Diego.

Sunpower California’s website and Facebook and Instagram pages have “prominently” featured SunPower’s name and logo, and displayed SunPower’s photos without permission, the complaint says.
