Trademark Infringement Claims Against SunPower Corp. Dismissed

Sunpower California LLC voluntarily dismissed its claims against one of the top solar energy companies, SunPower Corp., in an ongoing trademark infringement lawsuit.

Sunpower California had amended its counterclaims after Judge Cathy Ann Bencivengo for the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California threw out the company’s claims that SunPower interfered with future business opportunities.

The California company dismissed its new counterclaims, which can be filed by a party before the opposing party serves an answer or motion for summary judgment, according to a notice filed in a San Diego federal court.
