The Texas Stock Exchange’s trademark dispute with the Toronto Stock Exchange may soon be headed to mediation, a federal judge said.
Judge Karen Gren Scholer questioned the need to prolong the case that began after the Toronto Stock Exchange, also known as TSX Inc., sent its Texas counterpart a cease-and-desist letter over the use of “TXSE.” The Texas Stock Exchange filed a lawsuit in response seeking a declaration its marks don’t create confusion.
