Starbucks Engaging in ‘Lawfare,’ Says Patent Owner (Correct)

A company tied to one of the most prolific filers of US patent suits, Leigh Rothschild, wants to ax Starbucks Corp.'s fraud allegations against him from a Texas federal lawsuit.

The coffee giant was accused in mid-2024 of infringing a patent directed to methods of remote food and drink ordering by Analytical Technologies LLC, a patent assertion and licensing company linked to Rothschild.
