Transportation and logistics service company Spot Freight Inc. filed a trademark infringement lawsuit Monday against a recently formed Alabama company with the same name.
Spot Freight, based in Indiana, said it has marketed and sold freight transportation services under that name since 2009 and has “built up extremely valuable goodwill” in that time, the complaint filed Monday in Alabama federal court said.
Spot Freight obtained federal trademark registrations for its name in 2016 and its logo in 2018, it said.
