Sports Illustrated’s brand owner agreed to end its dispute with the magazine’s ex-publisher, dropping its accusations the publisher broke its license and held the brand “hostage” while the publisher dropped its $200 million countersuit.
Authentic Brands Group LLC, which owns the Sports Illustrated brand, and ex-publisher Arena Group Holdings Inc. agreed to a voluntary dismissal the action with prejudice, according to the Tuesday filing in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York.
Details of the agreement weren’t available, and counsel for the parties didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment.
