‘Spoiled Brat’ Trademark Owner Settles Claims Over Rihanna Socks

The owner of a trademark for “Spoiled Brat” covering apparel settled claims with Stance Inc. in Florida federal court over its Rihanna-branded “Spoiled Brat” socks.

Steve Hechtman’s July complaint in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida said he’s been selling men’s, women’s, and children’s apparel under the Spoiled Brat brand name since 1989, and owns a federal trademark registration covering the term.

Hechtman alleged that the Stance x Rihanna Spoiled Brat Anklet Socks infringed his trademark and were likely to cause customer confusion.
