Rocket maker Astra Space Inc. is accused of trademark infringement by a company with a similar name that develops instruments and computer models used in orbit.
Atmospheric and Space Technology Research Associates LLC, known as ASTRA, said the rocket maker’s name confuses customers, according to a lawsuit Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
Astra Space should stop using the mark, ASTRA is arguing in seeking damages of more than $1 million. ASTRA said it has even received invoices intended for the rocket manufacturer.
