Southwest Lawsuit Against Kiwi.com Booking Site Can Proceed

Online travel booking website Kiwi.com must face a lawsuit in Texas alleging the company sold Southwest flights without the airline’s approval, a federal court in the state ruled.

Southwest Airlines Co. alleges the website scraped its flight and pricing data and resold tickets to more than 170,000 customers. The lawsuit filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas names both Kiwi.com Inc. and Kiwi.com SRO as defendants.

Southwest has established a case for specific jurisdiction in Texas, the court ruled in a loss for Kiwi.com SRO.
