Sony Gets Win in PlayStation Case Over Game Rewards Patent

Sony Corp. of America, in a case involving Playstation video games, was able to get part of a patent covering modifying a game based on players’ performance invalidated as abstract in San Francisco federal court.

Bot M8 LLC sued Sony in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California for allegedly infringing two patents, including U.S. Patent No. 7,338,363.
