Sony Beats Patent Appeal in $500 Million Game-Controller Case

Sony maintained its victory against a company seeking nearly $500 million over allegations several generations of Playstation gaming consoles and DualShock controllers infringed its patents.

The Federal Circuit Thursday said Genuine Enabling Technology LLC hadn’t sufficiently explained how the wireless technology captured in GET’s US Patent No. 6,219,730 matched the Bluetooth module from the Sony Group Corp. products targeted in the case.
