Sonos’ Google Case on Audio-Tech Patents Is Handed to New Clerk

The federal judge presiding over Sonos Inc.’s California lawsuit against Alphabet Inc.’s Google LLC over patents for wireless-sound technology moved the case from the hands of a clerk who once worked for Google to those of another clerk, according to the court’s electronic docket.

A minute entry on Wednesday’s hearing in the US District Court for the Northern District of California says Judge William Alsup took two competing requests under submission and “also noted entire case is now transferred to another law clerk.”
