Sonos Gets Early Win in Google Smart Speaker Import Dispute (1)

Sonos Inc. fended off for now allegations at the US International Trade Commission by Google LLC that the speaker maker infringed three of the tech giant’s patents.

ITC administrative law Judge Cameron Elliot concluded that Google hadn’t violated the nation’s unfair import statute by bringing goods into the country that infringe a US patent, in a three-page notice posted Friday. Google had asserted certain Sonos audio players infringe US Patent Nos. 9,632,748, 11,024,311, 11,050,615.
