Former Snap One LLC employees allegedly infringed its patents and misappropriated its trade secrets to create smart home remotes for AVA Inc. and Josh.ai Inc. that copy Snap One’s “unique and innovative” remote design, a new lawsuit against the two companies said.
AVA and Josh.ai exploited Snap One’s intellectual property and goodwill to “bypass the years of work and effort necessary to develop market-leading smart home products,” according to the complaint filed in the US District Court for the District of Utah on Monday.
