‘Skibidi Toilet’ Owner Wins Order Blocking DMCA Takedowns (1)

The owner of copyrights and trademarks associated with the web video series “Skibidi Toilet” won a temporary order designed to allow the show’s 25th season of episodes to return to Alphabet Inc.'s YouTube platform.

The episodes were pulled after a company based in Dubai called Next Level Apps Technologies FZCO “fraudulently obtained copyright registrations” and then sent “takedown notices to YouTube under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act” claiming the web videos contained their copyrighted content, according to an order issued Wednesday by the US District Court for the Northern District of California.
