Rapper Daniel Hernandez, who performs as 6ix9ine, was accused of infringing the trademark of Warren Hamilton—another rap artist who said he has used the stage name SIX9 since 2007—in a federal lawsuit filed Wednesday.
“Hamilton’s entire career as a recording artist, performer, and entertainer has been injured” by Hernadez’s adoption of a nearly identical stage name, the complaint said.
