A dispute between a musician and his producer over the rights to a musical adaptation of Homer’s epic “The Odyssey” expanded with a second federal lawsuit filed related to their fallout.
Jorge Rivera-Herrans said he was the exclusive writer, music director, and the lead performer of the “Epic: The Musical” master recordings, in his complaint filed Wednesday in the US District Court for the Central District of California. It follows a lawsuit filed last fall from producer Blair Russell’s company seeking a ruling it’s the proper copyright owner.
