Chris Brown Again Denied Exit From ‘Pills and Automobiles’ Suit

A California federal judge rejected R&B artist Chris Brown’s second attempt to escape a copyright infringement lawsuit over the chorus of his hit song “Pills and Automobiles,” which sold more than 3 million copies.

Brandon Saunders, who performs as “Sqooby,” sued Brown, Sony Music Entertainment Inc., and Songs of Universal Inc. in November 2021, alleging that the chorus of Brown’s song uses the same lyrics as Saunders’ song “Wet.”
