Siemens Industry Software Inc. and Bell Semiconductor LLC settled a lawsuit that sought to derail more than 60 patent cases aimed at semiconductor makers.
Siemens, which sells tools to design and test semiconductor chips, filed suit claiming Bell Semic launched “a sprawling litigation campaign” targeting Siemens customers, according to its complaint filed in Delaware federal court last December. The suit sought to invalidate six patents Bell Semic alleged the Siemens’ semiconductor manufacturer clients infringed.
By Monday, however, Siemens and Bell Semic had made peace. Both parties asked US District Court for the District of Delaware Chief Judge
