Siemens Hit With Patent Infringement Suit Over Circuit Breaker

Siemens Corp. faces a patent infringement lawsuit in a federal court in Texas by a company that says the electronic and electrical products giant infringed a patent through the promotion of an outdoor circuit breaker for renewable energy generation.

EMA Electromechanics Inc. sued Siemens and Siemens Industry Inc. in connection with U.S. Patent No. 7,724,489, which the plaintiff says was issued by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in May 2010.
