Shot Scope Hit With Patent Suit Over Golf Swing Performance Tech

Wyoming Intellectual Property Holdings LLC sued Shot Scope Technologies Ltd. alleging it infringed a patent by creating golf swing performance tracking devices.

Shot Scope’s V3 watch, tracking tags, and mobile app give analysis of a golf player’s swing to provide information for improving techniques, according to a complaint filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. Wyoming said the technology uses the same methods as US Patent No. 9,384,671.

Wyoming seeks a judgment stating Shot Scope infringed its patent, as well as damages and an order prohibiting further infringement.
