The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California dismissed the suit, holding claims of U.S. Patent Nos. 8,429,084, 9,235,857, and 10,346,840 are directed to the abstract idea of authenticating internet sales through a third party. No additional inventive concept transforms them into patent-eligible subject matter, the trial court said.
