SharkNinja wants a federal court to declare that its combination hair dryer and multi-styling tool doesn’t infringe Dyson’s patents.
SharkNinja says that Dyson demanded the company remove its FlexStyle Air Styling and Drying system from the market or face legal consequences, on top of litigation over the product in Germany, France, and Korea.
In response, SharkNinja seeks a declaration from the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts that the FlexStyle doesn’t infringe Dyson’s patent and requested an award of attorneys’ fees.
Dyson didn’t immediately respond with a comment on the complaint filed Tuesday.
