ServiceNow’s Now Platform Target of InQuisient Patent Suit (1)

ServiceNow Inc. was hit with a federal lawsuit alleging its Now platform, which automates business processes across an enterprise, infringes three InQuisient Inc. patents for technology that improves the way a computer stores and uses data in a database to implement workflows.

InQuisient says it learned, after “a competitive bidding situation” in which the two companies were pursuing the same customer, of “strong similarities between techniques disclosed and covered in InQuisient’s foundational patents-in-suit and techniques used by ServiceNow’s Now platform,” according to a complaint filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the District of Delaware.
