Silicon Valley venture capital firm Sequoia Capital Operations LLC is accusing another California-based company of illegally using the same name, according to a new trademark lawsuit.
Sequoia Capital LLC—a real estate development and investment firm—infringed Sequoia Capital Operations’ trademarks that it has used since 1972, according to the complaint filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the Central District of California. The real estate firm registered its corporate name with the state in 2019, the filing said.
