Sensormatic Sues Prosegur for Patent Damages on Anti-Theft Tags

Johnson Controls International Plc’s Sensormatic Electronics unit alleges that an anti-theft pin tag sold to retailers by Prosegur Security USA Inc. infringes a patent for the technology.

Sensormatic Electronics LLC, based in Boca Raton, Fla., says it sent Prosegur a letter in February 2022 alleging Prosegur’s nanotag infringes the patent, according to a complaint filed Wednesday in the US District Court for the District of Delaware.
