Senators Propose Ban on Deceptive AI-Generated Election Content

Senators including Democrat Amy Klobuchar and Republican Josh Hawley introduce a bill that would ban the use of deceptive artificial intelligence generated content falsely depicting federal candidates in political ads, according to a statement.

  • The bill allows federal candidates targeted by this deceptive content to have it taken down and enables them to seek damages in federal court
