A former Jerry Seinfeld collaborator can’t sustain copyright claims related to Seinfeld’s “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee” series, the Second Circuit affirmed Thursday.
Christian Charles waited too long to bring his case and his claims were now time-barred, the court said.
The central issue in the case was whether Charles owned copyrights to the show, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit said. Charles’ suit was filed several years after he should’ve known that Seinfeld disputed his ownership claim, the court said.
