SAP Suits Say TMX Trading Tools Use Patented Real-Time Data Tech

The trading and analytics platforms of TMX Group Ltd. and two subsidiaries use patented technology for real-time data processing and financial analytics without permission, SAP SE said in federal lawsuits in three states.

German software giant SAP alleged in complaints filed Thursday in federal courts in Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Illinois that specific platforms infringe combinations of five patents by using real-time data streams, financial analytics, and virtual database management technology without a license.
