Samsung’s Smart Ring Patent Suit Against Oura Dismissed by Judge

Oura Health Oy convinced a California federal judge to dismiss Samsung Electronics Co.’s lawsuit seeking a judgment its Galaxy Ring doesn’t infringe five patents Samsung said cover “features common to virtually all smart rings.”

Judge Araceli Martínez-Olguín granted Oura’s motion to dismiss in an order issued Thursday in the US District Court for the Northern District of California, though she gave Samsung until April 25 to revise and refile its complaint.
