Samsung Patent Priority-Date Win Challenged in Rehearing Bid

The owner of a light emitting diode patent that sued Samsung Electronics Co. for infringement sought a redo from the Federal Circuit after a three-judge panel invalidated the patent.

The full US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit should rehear the case, Lynk Labs Inc. said in a petition for rehearing filed Mar. 14.
