Samsara Inc. accused competitor Motive Technologies Inc. of violating California trade secret laws by poaching employees and instructing them to take confidential information to help develop similar artificial intelligence dashcam and vehicle gateway products in a new lawsuit filed in state court.
Motive’s CEO Shoaib Makani orchestrated the scheme by encouraging employees to poach Samsara’s staff, according to the complaint filed Tuesday in the Superior Court of the State of California for the County of San Francisco.
