Samsara Inc. convinced an administrative tribunal to review the validity of Motive Technologies Inc.'s patent covering an AI-based fleet tracking system.
Samsara established a likelihood that previous inventions render part of US Patent No. 11,875,580 obvious, according to a decision issued Wednesday by the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. The order is the latest development in a fight between the trucking logistics companies that includes an International Trade Commission investigation and two federal lawsuits.
