Samsara Restraining Order Bid Too Late, Motive Employee Says

A Motive Technologies Inc. employee told a California judge his former employer Samsara Inc. is disrupting his current job and using him as a “pawn” in a sprawling dispute between the competitors concerning trade secrets and patent infringement claims for artificial intelligence road safety technology.

Samsara waited two months to sue its former employee William Reich after he told the company in June he was leaving to work for Motive, according to an Aug. 16 filing opposing its bid for a temporary restraining order in the US District Court for the Northern District of California.
