Samesurf Must Identify Financial Backers in Intuit Patent Case

The Los Angeles software firm Samesurf Inc. must reveal identities of individuals or entities with a financial stake in its lawsuit over Intuit Inc.’s alleged use of patented co-browsing technology, a federal judge in California ruled.

Magistrate Judge David D. Leshner granted Intuit’s motion to compel Samesurf to respond to an interrogatory requesting the information, according to an order docketed Thursday in the US District Court for the Southern District of California.
