Salesforce’s Legal Sojourn in Delaware Ends With Texas Transfer

Salesforce Inc.’s bid to force a patent-monetization firm to comply with certain subpoenas the tech giant served against WSOU Investments LLC in infringement cases in Texas was moved from Delaware’s federal court to the same Texas district where the prolific litigant filed those suits due to “exceptional circumstances.”

Judge Colm F. Connolly transferred Salesforce’s action to the US District Court for the Western District of Texas after considering the parties’ briefing and discussing the matter with Magistrate Judge Derek T. Gilliland in Waco, according to an order issued Wednesday in the District of Delaware.
