Salesforce Should Face Some VE Opening Patent Claims, Judge Says

Salesforce Inc. failed to convince a Texas magistrate judge that VE Opening LLC’s entire lawsuit should be thrown out after the court made a ruling in a similar case.

Only claim 1 of the US Patent No. 9,916,079 should be dismissed due to not being eligible for patent protection, while claims 4,5 and 6 should remain in the dispute, Magistrate Judge Derek Gilliland of the US District Court for the Western District of Texas said in a June 9 report and recommendation.
