SAIC, US Government End Night-Vision Patent Suit on Eve of Trial

SAIC and the federal government agreed to settle a patent-infringement suit over several night-vision goggle weapons systems provided to the Defense Department by a string of defense contractors and tech firms including Microsoft Corp.

Plaintiff Science Applications International Corp. joined the government in a motion Sunday asking the US Court of Federal Claims to pause the case and cancel a May 6 trial date, in light of having “reached an agreement in principle on settlement terms that would be sufficient to resolve this case without further litigation.”
