Global Occupational Safety and Health Academy LLC has agreed to stop using its name within two months to resolve a trademark infringement lawsuit filed by the US Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
Global OSHA, which provides workplace safety training programs around the world, will also abandon its attempt to register a trademark, according to a proposed consent judgment filed Thursday in the US District Court for the District of Illinois. It said it won’t use the acronym “OSHA” or “Occupational Safety and Health Academy” as a trademark, the proposal said.
