Sacha Baron Cohen sued a Massachusetts cannabis company, saying it infringed on his copyright and misappropriated his likeness by using his ``Borat’’ character on a billboard.
Solar Therapeutics, a cannabis dispensary, displayed Borat Sagdiyev, a character Baron Cohen created and portrayed in 2006 and 2020 films, on a billboard advertising its cannabis products on a Massachusetts highway, according to the complaint filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
