RSB Spine Sues Orthofix Medical Over Four Spinal Implant Devices

RSB Spine LLC sued Orthofix Medical Inc. in Texas federal court for allegedly infringing a spinal implant system after their patent licensing discussions hit a wall.

RSB contacted Texas-based Orthofix and its SeaSpine subsidiaries in August 2019 about the possible infringement of U.S. Patent No. 9,713,537 through multiple medical devices, according to the complaint filed Thursday in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. RSB said it could not reach a licensing agreement with Orthofix and SeaSpine.
