Rocket Resume Beats Infringement Claims in Copyright Lawsuit

Rocket Resume Inc. scored a partial win in a copyright suit brought against it by Bold Ltd., tanking infringement claims regarding its resume-building website.

Bold failed to supply direct evidence that Rocket Resume copied its “MyPerfectResume” website and didn’t provide sufficient evidence showing the two websites had databases with similarities that would indicate copying, Judge Beth Labson Freeman wrote in the redacted opinion unsealed Wednesday in the US District Court for the Northern District of New York. The opinion was decided on May 24, and a redacted version was made public June 5.
