Roblox Corp. advanced trademark infringement and some of its avatar copyright infringement claims against WowWee Group Ltd. in a San Francisco federal court.
WowWee dodged other copyright claims, successfully arguing Roblox couldn’t tack on new copyright registrations secured after it sued. WowWee also convinced the US District Courtfor the the Northern District of California to pause contract and business interference claims against foreign defendants pending arbitration of similar claims against US defendants.
