Ricky Martin again has to face claims he copied a music video entered into a contest ahead of the 2014 World Cup as the First Circuit found the decade-old claims were dismissed too hastily.
The lower court erred when it “sped from Martin’s” motion to dismiss into summary judgment motions, denying plaintiff Luis Adrián Cortés-Ramos an opportunity to conduct any discovery, the US Court of Appeals for the First Circuit said.
