Resideo Sues ICM Controls for Wi-Fi-Thermostat Patent Damages

Resideo Technologies Inc. and its Ademco Inc. unit allege that ICM Controls Corp.’s programmable Wi-Fi-connected thermostats infringe five patents for related technologies, according to a federal lawsuit in Delaware.

At least seven models of ICM’s I3 Wi-Fi Thermostat, which includes an app for controlling it from a mobile device or computer, infringe the patents, according to a complaint filed Aug. 12 in the US District Court for the District of Delaware. ICM is a unit of Lorraine Capital LLC.
