Renesas, Denso Hit With Semiconductor Patent Suit Over Car Parts

An IPValue Management Inc. unit sued Renesas Electronics Corp. and Denso Corp. alleging they imported infringing semiconductor devices and used them in automotive products for Honda and Toyota vehicles.

Japanese semiconductor manufacturer Renesas refused to enter a licensing deal with Monterey Research LLC over US Patent Nos. 6,243,300; 7,679,968; 7,089,133; and 7,825,688, according to a complaint filed Wednesday in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.
