Reedy Creek Avoids Liability for Disney’s Covid Employment Rules

Employees who sued various Walt Disney Co. entities over mandatory vaccination and mask rules it implemented during the Covid-19 pandemic failed to convince a federal court that the Reedy Creek Improvement District should be included in their suits.

Reedy Creek is a special government district that Florida created in 1967 to help ensure that Disney World received adequate municipal services, and the plaintiffs—Cheron Hayes, Stephen Cribb, Adam Pajer, and Steven Gibbons—included it in their challenges to the Covid-19 rules Disney adopted.
