Raytheon Says Army Isn’t Protecting Patriot Missile Contract Data

Raytheon Co. says the Army breached data rights rules under contracts to support the Patriot missile weapon system, which may result in the improper disclosure of valuable information to competitors.

Raytheon’s vendor lists include contract management information, not technical data, and therefore the company properly affixed proprietary markings on the lists to protect them from public disclosure, Raytheon told the U.S. Court of Federal Claims in a complaint.

The court should void the Army’s final decision ordering Raytheon to remove the markings or face contract payment withholdings, Raytheon said.
