Raw Story to Appeal Dismissal of its OpenAI Copyright Lawsuit

Raw Story Media Inc. and AlterNet Media Inc. are appealing to the Second Circuit a ruling dismissing their copyright claims against OpenAI Inc. over its AI training process.

The outlets’ notice of appeal said they were challenging Judge Colleen McMahon’s November decision granting OpenAI’s motion to dismiss the case, as well as subsequent orders denying them leave to amend their complaint and for reconsideration, according to a Wednesday filing in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York.
